RCCEA is a non-profit Irish Dance organisation that facilitates the growth, promotion and development of Irish Dance in Continental Europe & Asia.
We pride ourselves on being the most diverse CLRG Regional Council, with a community of teachers, adjudicators, dancers, families and friends spread across a vast geographical and cultural landscape. Our community continues to expand and grow with people of all backgrounds, finding commonality in Irish dance no matter where they are from.
We are deeply saddened and angered by the war waged by the Russian state that has caused such pain, division and suffering in Ukraine and around the world. We stand with all of those affected by this, especially members of our own community who have been caught up in the pain and suffering through no fault of their own.
As we embark on a week of celebrating Irish Dance at the World Championships, we would like to take this moment to pause, reflect and think of all those who are not fortunate enough to be with us in this celebration. We admire, respect and acknowledge all of the contributions that have been made to promote, share and preserve Irish dance and culture across our region.
We hope for the safety and comfort of everyone across our region and pray that peace will prevail before any more senseless loss of life.
We look forward to the day when we will once again be able to join together in dance and continue to share our passion, joy and culture with each other in peace.
